Pass the Drill

It’s been a happy little home this.
Special memories made here in what has blissfully been 2 and a half years already. It’s been my Plett pad!
It’s housed beautiful light sunshine moments of wonder and some very fine meals on the terrace and kitchen counter.
It is naturally designed for afternoon couch thinking with those warm rays on your thoughts through any season of the year.
It’s held some very dark days within such strong walls that the drill bits even broke. I needed these walls. They have held my nest safe and stable and weathered some brutal winds of change.

I’ve cherished my every morning beach run straight from the door to the ocean, to my coffee shop.
I’ve loved every single bath listening to the waves by candlelight. (Load shedding or not).
I’ve found peace in the space in my mind and I’ve found the words in the well of my perspectives. I’ve found practice in a different kind of living. I’ve also found solace.
It’s been private, practical and purposeful.
What it’s taught me… is I can do hard things.
Just as the drill bits broke in the walls to put the picture in position to be admired, is just as paint covers the (w)hole of my history within this abode.
People come and people go. We come and we go.
It’s just a story.
And just as there is fleetingness to reflect there is pertinence to be found in our new home.
… May the walls be strong, may the waves be heard, may it come with ease.
Pass the drill!
